Reflection 6
(8/4/2022)
As most
countries were affected by a coronavirus and demand a work from the home
scheme; we need to know the communicative tools that help us to bring the
family, office workers, teachers, and students together. During the sixth
session, we learned about the communicative tool that is used in the classroom,
their types, and, their benefits. It refers to the applications or tools which
enable easy communication between the teacher and the students beyond the
physical barrier either by learning space or time. Examples of communication
tools include social media, email, chat rooms, blogging, zoom, and Google
classrooms.
There are two
types of communication; synchronous and asynchronous communication. Synchronous
communication enables real-time communication that requires a higher degree of
interaction and helps solve urgent issues. It includes telephone,
videoconferencing, and instant online chats. Asynchronous communication doesn’t
require the users communicating to be logged on the internet at the same time
and learning content can be learned as per their schedule convenience. It
includes prerecorded video, discussion forum, email, audio clips on social
media, and upload of text messages.
