Constructive tool

Constructive Tool is general purpose tools that can be used for manipulating information, constructing ones own knowledge or visualizing ones understanding. Students use
technology tools to connect new information to their prior knowledge rather than passively receive information. The Constructive characteristic describes learner-centered instruction that allows students to use technology tools to connect new information to their prior knowledge.
This characteristic is concerned with the flexible use of technology to build knowledge in the modality that is most effective for each student.

Constructive tool is a general purpose tool that can be used to manipulate information, construct their own knowledge or visualize students understanding. As a constructive tool ICT has been implemented in rural vocational high schools. Various tools provide large amounts of information such as utilizing Microsoft Word or Power Pointpresentations, point cards, and video projects (other tasks). The researcher analyzes from the observations sheet that the English teacher implemented the learning process in the English language laboratory.
Wherefore, information of resources obtained from audio visual such as the English teacher playing video or testing the students in listening section. The English teacher sometimes gives the materials related to the theme of learning in listening section and share the question with the students one by one. Another instrument such as point cards used to review the students’ points in English subjects so that students might obtain good points from the different valuations. Eventually, utilizing those tools of ICT is the one e-learning method in teaching with ICT.

The teacher consistently allows students to select technology tools to use in building an understanding of a concept. The teacher provides a context in which technology tools are seamlessly integrated into a lesson, and is supportive of student autonomy in choosing the tools and when they can best be used to accomplish the desired outcomes.

Students use technology to construct and share knowledge in ways that may not be possible without technology. Their deep understanding of the technology tools allows them to extend the use of the tools in creative ways to construct meaning.

Why we integrate constructive tool in the classroom?

Firstly it enhances learners to build new knowledge using technology, allows the learners to brainstorm and visualize the relationship of understanding of concepts, enhance and fosters learners critical thinking, creates motivation and independent learners, encourage to learner to manipulate own ideas and information
